I would love to see this in the media spotlight. Let's see if the church has the stones to go through with it when people are watching.

All in the last 1/2 hour the story was picked up by the Huffingtonpost, Orlando Sentinel, Open Salon, amoung others, and a 24min video on YouTube posted. This story will be all over the place by later today.

Way to go Church leaders!

The real question for MDB members is whether or not DCP will show up to defend the Church in the Comments Section of, say, the Daily Beast piece.

If DCP does show up, what will he say?

If he doesn't show up, who will defend the Church?

The LDS Church could really use some defending on this one.

I hope DCP and Hambone and Schryver show up and make asses of themselves in the comments section. It's been months since the photo essay comments section quieted down.

A big question is who were these two "Church executives" with the Bishop and Stake President? David needs to provide more information on who these two guys were. Were they just 1st or 2nd counselors to the Bish or SP? If not, then who were they representing and why were they there?

Would love to see that.

Turns out that as Mitt Romney and the LDS Church try to convince the world that they are ready for prime time, they are rapidly becoming prime time entertainment.

Richard Dawkins tweeted the link to the Daily Beast story. Dawkins has 450,000 followers, so this is likely to spread rapidly. I retweeted it to my 37 followers, so I did my part.

My guess is that its just "non-mormon" speak for the stake president's counselors.

David keeps the identities of the two "Church executives" quiet. I think that is respectful of him, particularly in light of the fact that they have not respected him to the same extent. The Church--whether FAIRites or active digging by his ecclesiasticals--has sought to bust his semi-anonymity. Too bad they cannot respect David as much as he is respecting them--and as much as David is willing to respect their identities even in the face of their disrespect of his.
