In another thread Mercygrace shared a rumor going around the internet about some rumored revelation that President Monson has allegedly received that will rock the LDS world to its very foundation (ok I'm exaggerating) But IF Monson did in fact receive any revelation that would certainly rock my worldview.

So my question is: First, can you trust a revelation claim from someone suffering from dementia? Wouldn't that make any revelation claim suspect? And Second, What on earth could Monson declare that would affect every man, woman and child in the church…Unless..it’s the long rumored reduction in church meeting schedules from a 3 hour block to a 2 hour block…the membership better get ready to put on their jack-boots...and prepare their synchronized kicks.

I wonder if it's the revelation that God wants him to stand down...but wait...that voice Monson heard whilst snoozing sounded awfully like Packers...

I would like to see subgenius's/bcspace's/Droopy's/ldsfaqs's/Schryver's/DCP's/Packers reaction to a revelation giving women and gays the Priesthood...

"A new temple is proposed for Springville, Utah!"

I can't imagine this change would be announced as a received revelation. Haven't they been trying this in some stakes already (as a trial run)? I would think this would just be an announced change and not on the scale of needing a revelation from God.

Was there a revelation announced when they consolidated the schedule?

Anyway....it will be interesting to see what this anticipated revelation really is.

Perhaps...Monson is thinking about his legacy (if he has any cognitive abilities left)...and needs something to leave behind so that he won’t be a mere “footnote” in LDS history. I mean really what has his administration done beside adding one additional "Mission" goal for the church.

Monson has overseen the worst period in Mormon History where the truth about the Church has not been able to be suppressed, where members have left in droves and where the PR machine has back fired at each and every opportunity. It has been a period of unmitigated disasters. The Church has needed clear leadership and all God provided was someone who told erroneous anecdotes and sat on his hands whilst the Church's credibility got looted.

I have received a revelation that that a revelation that will will affect every man, woman, and child in the church will not be mentioned at all this conference.

In fact, the spirit has confirmed to me that this is just a silly teaser to trick people into watching conference.

We'll see who is more prophetic this October...me or Tom.

It's not the first time I have heard rumors of some big revelation in an upcoming Conference.
