Don't take life too seriously.
Don't think you MUST convert people to believe the same way as you.
Take the time to learn about the country/state you are in. Go to museums and state parks.
If you must break rules in order to learn more about the place you reside in, so be it! Screw the mission president if he tells you to stop learning about your environment.
Don't listen to everything being said at Zone/District conferences. If someone asks you to perform a role play to brush up on your proselyting skills, flip the bird at them and tell them to go suck pickles.
Don't watch movies or hang out with member girls. That is against the rules for a good reason. Break the crappy rules.

Zee.

I would just give one piece of advice: always do what you think is right, no matter the pressure to do otherwise.

The only problem with that is, they might think being too serious is the right thing to do.

I agree. If there is one thing I could go back and change about my life, it would have been to not go on my mission. In hindsight it was a waste of time and money. It screwed with my head and was the influence for some really poor decisions I made in my early 20's.
