I wonder why Nephites weren't interested in this hippie ideal.
For clarity, assume that: hippie ideal = anti-war
I ask that no mention of democrats, republicans, Romney, Obama, or anything related to these be mentioned (especially you, BC).

Anti-Nephi-Lehi: A Lamanite phenomenon
Oh for shame, how the mortals put the blame on us gods, for they say evils come from us, but it is they, rather, who by their own recklessness win sorrow beyond what is given... Zeus (1178 BC)

Re: Anti-Nephi-Lehi: A Lamanite phenomenon
Here is an idea: The author(s) are represented in the Nephites. The author looks at the Lamanites as "them" and the Nephites as "us". To be anti-war zealots is slightly heathen, fitting for aborigines. The Nephites must protect and take care of "them".
Just a thought.
