I would go but for lack of funds this year. Maybe next year. I hear they usually have a well-stocked bar.

I went to the Saturday session of the 2009 conference. After watching Craig Criddle's presentation "Authorship - Who Really Wrote the Book of Mormon", we were all shocked and a bit scared as a wild man approached Craig after his presentation (our very own Night Lion) and yelled aggressively at him.
Very interesting and I was glad I went.
I recall that I threw up my arms dramatically exclaiming that if his premise was thus and so then 'I" wrote the Book of Mormon because I write much after the style of scripture think. I know that it shocked those folks. But, really? Why? Because of what I actually said or did or because I came with ............wait for it.............power.
I was never screaming at him like some loony tunes. Please. Ask Kimberly, she was there too.

I was there, Nightlion, and I remember well your encounter with Craig Criddle. I'd not say you were screaming, but you probably scared Craig Criddle a liddle.
Ex-Mormon Conference hasn't been of interest to me in years, though I did have a lot of fun in 2009 as the Guest of the Day at Embassy Suites. I shared the honor with my darling friend, Mish Magnet. We were Guests of the Day because we asked to be, and to our happy surprise we later found our names on a little display in the lobby. They even sent gift baskets to our room! It's funny how such a small thing can make a trip, but it did.
Perhaps I was less flustered by Nightlion's outburst because of the sense of dignity afforded me as Guest of the Day? Royalty is expected to maintain a stiff upper lip.
I hope one of my Mormon Discussions friends is the Guest of the Day this year during Ex-Mo Conference! I hope Nightlion attends again, as well.

If so, I want one of the puppies--or kittens--or whatever the offspring.

Why, yes it is, SteelHead!
Dogs in tiger costumes make me almost as happy as being Guest of the Day.
Gracie was dressed as a tiger for the homecoming parade. She was a big hit, even though she flatly refused to wear the tigery headpiece.
