Did Romney as a Mormon help him in the debate?

Mormons speak in public at a very young age so Romney wouldn't be nervous as much.

Missionaries had to memorize many scriptures and the missionary discussions. Romney sure had to memorize a lot of things before going into the debate.

Being a Mormon could help him if he was lying (which I am still unclear about). Most Mormon guys I know have lied to the bishop about their porn problems or masturbating problems. Maybe Mitt became very good at lying because he is a Mormon. Or since Romney is Mormon he is suppose to be telling the truth because if he doesn't then he will be thrust down to hell!

Mormon missionaries end up getting in many religious debates on their missions. This might have helped Romney at a very young age with his debating skills.

Any other reasons why being a Mormon might have helped Romney with the debate? Is there some negative impacts of being a Mormon when it comes to debating?

Too bad Obama isn't Mormon or else he would have really kicked ass.

How so? He didn't have any real numbers to back him up nor does he have a record to run on. And then there is that whole Democrat thing which is worse than stink on a monkey or even the stink of failure.....

Sure. Spinning BS is an art form in Mormonism, so he was well prepared.
