Why is a disembodied spirit needed for personal revelation?

Post by _sock puppet »

Craig Christensen just said that the HG, as a body-less spirit, is a necessary medium for personal revelation.

So elohim and jehovah, having bodies, cannot infuse a human being with personal revelation, without the disembodied HG as a medium for doing so?

What a handicap physical bodies are for elohim and jehovah.

I think this leads to an interesting quandary for Mormons/Christians/Believers. Being influenced or guided by the Holy Spirit essentially means Man loses himself to God(s). He is not Free, thus negating the basic premise of Free Agency. Ceding his self-determination to a Higher Power negates Free Agency; this is probably based in the desire to escape from the responsibility for simply existing which requires knowing what exactly he is and determining his path in this life. When Man realizes that he truly is disconnected from others, and in this case God(s), it creates a crisis for the Believer hence the need for a Spirit that can transcend the notion of physical separation. The Spirit is simply a metaphor for his own conciousness.

That said, when the Believer attains the Highest Glory he becomes part of the collective, a rigid assumption of his Free Agency by God and those that are welcomed back into His bosom. In other words, the irony of Free Agency is that the Believer gives it up in order to become One with the collective forever losing himself and his Free Agency.

So, the reality is that the only discernable difference between Satan's plan and God's plan is timing. If anything ought to tell us about the nature of the two is Satan allowed Man to transcend his natural state both in the Before, and Now; only in the After does one cease to exist and become part of the collective. God simply doesn't want him to be Free, other than the choice to choose slavery and obedience over absolute freedom which is the only way Man can exist fully in his natural state.

Spirit/demon possession has been retired to the confines of history in most of the progressing western world and correctly labeled and treated as mental illness.

Although there are some evangelical churches that still torture children in the belief that the evil spirit will leave... Its as mental as enforcing Old Testament death penalties!!!

But Mormons claim that it is all true along with angels.

Religion is so dangerous!

Check out the 'african child witches' on youtube, evangelicals go to africa and teach them christianity and they just use it as an excuse to torture and abuse children.

This reinforces my argument that imperfections can actually be good. Yes, it is true that the holy ghost is more powerful than heavenly father in this regard. BUT THAT IS OKAY!

Stak, are you listening?

Remember how I once argued that an imperfect god is worthy of our worship? Do you? Do we need to start wrestling again? I hope so.

On the other hand...
