We need some fact checkers

Are these religious talks or political speeches? I heard something about Mormons being the only people who have moral standards. Mormons are the healthiest people in the world. I also heard someone say that pornography is now accepted in society but the church remains opposed to it. Is my hearing off, or were these claims actually made?

Well, you may have heard those things being said. But that is different to what the Church will officially declare as being said.
We have to wait until the text of the talks are published before we will know what words and claims of the Bretheren, uttered at Conference, will be accepted by the Church.

They've always painted the larger society, the 'world', as a despicable place of drugs, prostitution, etc, and then contrasted the active LDS population as though a field of daisies. It makes them feel better about the things they deny themselves.

Confusing isn't it...
The amount of times I have heard people from the pulpit claim that as Mormons they are the only ones with standards and morals, the only ones with a belief in the Holy Ghost, and the only ones whose organisation gives to charity. ( LDS wake up call it is an organisational middleman, it takes billions and gives thousands.)
They are so deeply hypnotized that they believe that they are 'blessed' for simply for being members,(Although they cannot define how it is exactly they are blessed.)
All 'Faith' from Buddhism to Zoroastrianism, is nothing more than 'religion induced self-convicted optimism.'
Mormons don't get that members of other faiths, have the same religion induced optimism in their own faith.
I am technically still one of 'them'.
