How LDS worldview inspires Christlike perspective

Post by _Tarski »

"...if some nation nukes some of our coastal cities, it would be no great loss."
-BCSpace in response to someone noting that cooperation based ideologies, and in particular democrats, abound in high population areas such as NY and LA. (Need for infrastructure more visible in cities etc.)

BCSpace; Exemplary Latter-day Saint serving his God and ready to be judged by every word that proceeds from his mouth.

This nugget of Christlike wisdom was found in the off-topic forum. All signs indicate this was an earnest opinion.

Is this LDS conservatism in action? Didn't he claim to be a bishop or something.
when believers want to give their claims more weight, they dress these claims up in scientific terms. When believers want to belittle atheism or secular humanism, they call it a "religion". -Beastie

One can only imagine the hue and cry that would erupt from the faithful if someone suggested that the US would be better off were nuclear devices to be detonated in SLC and Provo.

I think Bc was joking about the eastern seaboard cities. It is not like his pronouncment about homosexuals. I think he has mellowed since then.

by the way, has LDS conservatism ever attempted to claim it was Christ-like? Maybe Ayn Rand-like or Gordon Gecko-like, but not Christ-like. Judge them solely by their own standards not your own.
