Satan is abroad in the land

My wife has been down with a bad cold, so she's been watching movies on Netflix in between naps. Yesterday she was watching a cheesy 80s flick called "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" with Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Hunt. From the few parts I saw, it was dreadful, and the only interesting thing was seeing what Hollywood producers though was stylish in 1985.
There were some familiar faces in the movie, such as minor celebrity Richard Blade and a kid I knew in elementary school. Anyway, during the big dance audition scene, one of the girls was paired with a young man whom I immediately recognized. My wife said, "I know that guy. Where have I seen him before?" I said it was Satan, and she started laughing. It was funny seeing the Prince of Darkness in spandex doing 80s dance moves.

I apostatized about 7 years ago, so obviously I'm a bit out of the loop on the temple movie. I understand from the context here that Darryl Yaeger is now Satan in the temple movie. The last Satan I saw was Michael Ballam. When did this new version with Darryl Yaeger come out?

April 1990. The Ballam movie came out the same time as the other one, I believe (or very close to the same time). They alternate, so sometimes you see one and sometimes the other. At least that is how it was until I left the church 6 years ago. May have changed since then.

Ok, then I saw the other one too, and it's just not as memorable to me as the one with Michael Ballam was. Hmm. I do recall that there were two versions of the film that I saw with their own Adam and Eve. It's strange that I didn't recognize Darryl Yaeger as Satan just seeing his picture, but with the Michael Ballam version to focus on, I guess my mind just let the other guy slip into oblivion.
Come to think of it, I don't remember what Satan looked like in the pre-1990 movie either, though I saw it about a dozen times or so. I'm trying to remember what the Protestant preacher looked like in that version, and coming up with Harry Ried. That can't be right of course, but that's what I'm seeing in my mind's eye. LOL.

I enjoyed the parts of the movie I saw. I loved the music, the dancing, and the costuming.

Here they are together:

I only saw the old Lucifer once; all I can remember is that he had a beard.

Michael Ballam was just so dramatic when he broke the fourth wall (learned that one today) with his admonition of the audience, and when he looked back with that hateful look, paused, then continued off after Peter cast him out. Oh well.
As to the movie in the OP - haven't seen it, almost certainly never will. Sorry.
