So I guess my answer to the OP is this: because they haven't learned that doing this is a bad idea, or else they don't have much self-control, or else they just don't care.

Science is my weakest proficiency, so bear with me here. Isn't it usually the males of the species who develop bright, alluring coats and patterns to try and attract the females? How did things ever get so reversed for humans?

If anyone has ever studied up on this, please, educate me. I'm too lazy to look it up.

Men are attracted to beautiful women. I don't know what women are attracted to, because I am not one, and I don't pretend to know. Now, just because a woman may be considered unattractive to the general male population doesn't mean that men will judge her less worthy of attention, or ridicule her, or should be generally rude to her. Everyone deserves respect and should be judged for more than their physical appearance, but let's not pretend that if a man is attracted to beautiful women he some sort of misogynist. In the original thread, female models were posted. They were not presented as businesswomen, college professors, or politicians. They were models, and their purpose in that picture was to look aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Tarski didn't find them, or their outfits, attractive. I don't see the big crime.

It seems there have been more male fashion designers than female ones. I think this is due to males having more freedom than females, generally.

Well in "the invaders plan" series b L Ron Hubbard he postulated that homosexual male fashion designers specifically created and promoted fashions that made females unattractive, so their would be less competition for men.

No. Their purpose in that photo was to present clothing that pushed gender norms. It wasn't to see if Tarski could get an erection by looking at them.
