On the MD&D board the poster Wiki Wonka said this:
Responding to a website is not the same as fearing them. We even include the http links to the MT pages in the FAIR Wiki, although we don't enable the click-through so that we don't drive their Google results, but the http page address links are all there nonetheless. I'm perfectly happy for people to go look at MormonThink now that the site is well-known to be a critical site.
Every time we link to MD&D are we helping the apologists get better search results?
ETA: Considering the latest turn of events over there that might not be a bad thing...
FAIR is so childish. MormonThink is very liberal and simply links to FAIR over and over again - yet our stats are still higher than theirs. FAIR doesn't want people to look at anything other than its site and makes it more difficult to do so and although they throw in a few token non-working links to MT, where are the links to the other sites like Richard Packham's well-done site?

I do think the observation that critics often link directly to apologetic statements and arguments while apologists do not says something really terrible about how insecure apologists are with the strength of their arguments.
I visited MADD (for the first time in years) and looked at the latest thread where John Dehlin challenged FAIR to improve itself to make MT irrelevant.
That thread had so many mistatements. I would correct them but I've been banned there 3 times in the past as they cannot handle the truth and will promptly ban anyone defending 'the enemy'.
Even their arrogance which Dehlin pointed out is shown clearly on that thread when someone said that MT has already been made irrelevant.
Well, the emails MT continues to get daily and the visitors that continue to go to MT instead of FAIR show otherwise.
Good luck FAIR in making MT irrelevant. You will need it.

Interesting post.
Would you mind giving the board some idea of the recent relative stats for FAIR as compared to MT?
David Hume: "---Mistakes in philosophy are merely ridiculous, those in religion are dangerous."
DrW: "Mistakes in science are learning opportunities and are eventually corrected."

Very close, MT is currently ahead but FAIR is gaining no doubt. But the point is MT is hardly irrelevant as some MT-bashing posters on MADD stated. FAIR should be way ahead of MT as they have so many more websites that link to it, so many Mormons that support it, a budget many times higher than MT, many more volunteers and the occasional link from LDS.org which should put it much higher.
Frankly, I always thought FAIR was much higher-ranked than MT and they will probably pass MT with all the $$$ and effort and people they put into it BUT MT isn't going away and our emails grow weekly from people just newly discovering disturbing church information that they want to learn more about.

In my opinion, the FAIR board does much more harm than good. I have lurked over there for years, and over and over again, I see new posters show up ask questions and then get abused by arrogant a$$wipes over there. I think they nudge more people out of the church than they save.
