I was one of Packard's students at BYU. I took his logic class and he had us read the Book of Mormon and look for various logical constructs he taught us about. I kind of liked the guy, but a lot of other students thought it was a big waste of time.
Strange. This is a highly polished production. Doesn't seem like something that would get made without BYU or church support. The web site's kind of homemade-ish.

Really?
Trained actors. A dozen or so sets. Permission to use material from John Delhin and Terryl Givens. Access to LDS scholar like Muhlstein. Soundtrack. Professional camera work, editing, etc.
PP, what scene do you think was shot at 1.4? I'm curious because at that length, and at that f-stop, the depth of field would only be like 1-2 inches tops. With moving subjects, I'd be surprised if they could keep them in focus for a shot longer than a second or two.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen
Can you find someone who weights 500 lbs to play the father?
