Mods, when are you re-instating Scratch's thread?

Post by _LDSToronto »

And what are you doing, specifically, to hasten the process of re-instatement along?

Answer: when the issue has been resolved. News at 11. Or 12. Or maybe 1. Maybe.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Harmony complains about the wisdom of the posting community here, yet Harmony treats us like we are all f***ing imbeciles, as though we don't deserve to know what's going on.

Should Dr. Scratch's thread go back up?

Not only Yes, but Hell Yes.

If it doesn't, then the Peterson's, Hamlins, Midgleys, Schryvers, and other malevolent Mopologists of the world will have prevailed by bluff and intimidation. If they were right, it would be one thing, but they are clearly blowing smoke without a clue what they are talking about, and it is disturbing (to me at least) see the reaction here.

The narrative so far is: the OMIDS say "Boo!", and the critics run for cover.

It doesn't really matter how long it takes (within reason) for Dr. Shades to get comfortable, but the second he is, the thread should go back up, and it should go back up intact.

I must have missed this thread. Now I am curious. What is this deleted thread about, and why was it deleted?

Scratch posted a review of the infamous Dehlin paper that claimed he had read the paper and quoted from it. (It seems no one contests this but I'll still qualify it as "claimed" until the paper is released.) On the other board several people (it will not be tough to guess who) suggested that the Greg Smith (Or whom ever holds the copyright on the paper) should pursue legal action against Scratch (which would involve this board) for quoting parts of the paper, as an intellectual copyright infringement. Shades pulled the thread as a precautionary measure and a lot of posters are complaining about it. (I have to wonder how many of those offended by Shades reaction to the thread are certain enough of their position that they would agree to pay any and all costs that might arise from any legal action.)

Hey Dan, good luck trying to subpoena Scratch, who lives outside the continental USA.
