Evidence of the fundamental confusion in Greg Smith's mind:
Greg Smith wrote: It is not customary to present reviews to the author being reviewed prior to their publication.
--Greg Smith, "Return of the Unread Review: A Mormon Story,"
Interpreter , p. 45.
This revealing statement sums up one of the key problems in the classic-FARMS apologetic enterprise.
Can you catch the problem?

I am not an academic, but isn't this just the opposite of a scholarly peer-review process?

That's not it, but good guess. Look more closely at his language. The revealing error is in the grammar.

Sloppy. But at least it's not 188 words long, like Droopy's sentences.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

"Author" should be plural. Also, in keeping with the tone of his paper he should have dotted his "i"s with smiley faces.

The coma between Story," Interpreter is in the wrong place. It should be Story", Interpreter.

Because the author is not being reviewed. The essay is being reviewed.

You have added yet another error. What was being reviewed?

There really isn't a specific publication being reviewed. ETA: And it isn't much of a review as it is a hit piece.
