The account of this event is very, very mushy, which is inconsistent with an event that would be so monumental in the establishment of god's true church. Joseph never even mentioned it until the authority crises in the mid 1830s. Prior to that time, it was taught that the "high priesthood" was first given to Joseph by Lyman Wight in a meeting in 1831. Bushman admits this in RSR, and the cognitive dissonance it engenders. So no - Spring of 1829 isn't good enough.

Are you paying a full tithe to Warren Jeff's church? Don't expect for the spirit to be with you to confirm something if you're not trying to welcome him in by obedience to the Lord's prophet. You need to create an atmosphere for the spirit to confirm it to you.

Brother bcspace, when you've received a confirmation that Warren Jeffs is a prophet of God, WILL YOU choose to follow our savior Jesus Christ into the waters of baptism?
