So, it's that time of year again. St. Patrick's Day!(?)

Are there any Latter-day Saints in Ireland (or of Irish descent) who would be willing to tell me how you get through the day without beautiful, amazing Guinness? Or how we can get around the WoW?

Just have a pint and enjoy the day. I see nothing wrong with having a drink (outside of certain medical limitations). The WoW is about self-control and taking care of oneself. Many Mormons are morbidly obese and are badly abusing the WoW. Yet, they would object to someone who on occasion takes a drink. That is just silly and hypocritical.

The first time I ever tried Guinness I was with an exmo friend in Houston. He was from Scotland and wanted me to try Guinness, for whatever reason. I think it may have been the second or third time I had tasted beer. He watched me carefully, and I said I quite enjoyed it. He seemed disappointed.

He said, "I think it tastes like shyte, so I wanted to see how you reacted."

I can count on 1 hand the number of times I've had a beer since then, but I do like Guinness. I'll have to hoist a pint for St. Patrick's Day.

One of my mission companions told me that, on a business trip to Ireland, he went to a pub and had a pint of Guinness because he said he'd never forgive himself if he didn't.

There is no excuse for the Scots when it comes to beer. Guinness stout is lovely.

The best drink to have on St. Patty's is Guinness. The best place to have it (outside of Ireland) is New Orleans. New Orleans has a large population of Irish descendants.

St. Patrick's Day in New Orleans has parades and parties just like Mardi Gras, except with no tourists making it crazy and crowded.

Gotta disagree with you there, Brother Quasimodo! Corned beef and cabbage! Especially at LIR or The Green Briar. Ohhhhhhh my goodness.
