How old was Joseph Smith when the First Vision happened?

Post by _Darth J »

I have recently asked both Droopy and Why Me this question. But they did not respond, so I must conclude that they don't know.

Does anyone know when the First Vision happened?

Does not matter since it never really happened.

I think it happened in the third year of Aegon the Conqueror's reign of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.

Does anyone know when the First Vision happened?

He was somewhere between 13 and 17 years old, depending on the source, how the source is interpreted, and whether I remember all the sources correctly. That would be what? Somewhere between 1818 and 1822?

I don't see how that can be right. The LDS Church, its official unofficial apologists, and Droopy have all assured me that the various accounts of the First Vision do not conflict with each other in any way.

I never made that claim. But then, I'm not the LDS Church, one of its apologists, or Droopy.

The white salamander that Joseph saw was from one of his many masturbation sessions in the woods behind his family shanty, which started when he was 12.

Just before the white salamander appeared, others heard him cry out "OH. MY. GOD!!!"

Followed by "Jesus!! Sweet Jesus!!"

OK.

How old was Joseph Smith when the First Vision didn't happen?

Uh... 14?

On a spring day in 1820 14-year-old Joseph Smith sought solitude in a grove of trees and prayed to know which church was true. God the Father and Jesus Christ, "two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description," appeared and spoke with him.
