Yes he is being literal.

In another thread started to clarify just that statement he wrote

USU78 @ MAD wrote:There is, down in our neutrinos, a feeling amongst those of us whose Mormon ancestry goes back to prior to 1869, that the Utah War has never ended and never will end. There are no longer any field guns on the bluff overlooking Temple Square, but there are field guns on the fluff overlooking Point of the Mountain. There is, moreover, evidence that the US' anti-Mormon policies of the XIXth Century both motivated the sequester of >60% of all lands inside Utah (as well as essentially all mineral rights under all lands) as US lands, and continues to be such that Utah, and, therefore, Mormons, should always struggle economically . . . all in order to avert a perceived Antebellum threat of a Mormon Theocracy in the West that would be a dagger in the back of the US.

The only issue has ever been "what will be the trigger event that will cause a rehashing of XIXth Century Official AntiMormonism." I believe that homosexual marriage is that issue. To enforce in the name of an allegedly oppressed minority a suppression of the dastardly practice of man/woman-only marriages at the point of the gun on pain of disincorporation and attainder or worse is where this is all leading. I am not alone in my fears. But if called upon, I will put both body and soul at risk in defense of the Temples and our G-d (not government) granted rights of free exercise.

You may argue against this fear, but tell me, honestly: when has the Supreme Court ever upheld free exercise against a claimed liberty right? The correct answer is: "Never."

Because he has so many people like you and most of the people on this board here in mortality supporting him and cheering him on. Without that, he'd be just another whiny liberal with an ax to grind and no one to listen to him or take him seriously.

Why can't your God overcome a bunch of whiny liberal people?

Elian Gonzales. That's all I have to say. The IRS. The EPA. Government is out of control, at all levels, and it is government of the Left, by the Left, and for the Left at the federal level. When the point comes at which accountability is thought to be negligible or nonexistent, anything will be possible.

Just ask the Branch Davidians.

The environmental movement ripped off its mask momentarily when it believed it had mass democratic public opinion on its side and that nothing could stop its agenda with its 10-10 campaign and its "no pressure" video.

Obama ripped it off again with his attack on the First Amendment rights of Catholic charities. Obamacare itself is the leering, snarling face of totalitarian glee under the "human face" of socialism; the smiley face of "liberal fascism" that is the Left.

Droopy, the Constitution was divinely inspired, correct?
The defence of marriage act has been ruled unconstitutional, correct?

Are you seeing it yet (God's answer)?

This argument (which is missing at least one major premise) assumes that most present judges know what the constitution actually says - or care.

Ah...it's the Judges that don't know what they're doing....right.

No, I'm wrong. Judges are Platonic gnostics with towering intellects and vast moral superiority (by virtue of their leftist/progressive ideology) by comparison to the benighted, grubby masses and are utterly immune to personal bias, ideological agenda, and the call and intoxication of unaccountable, undemocratic, oligarchic power.

How could I have such thoughts about my betters?

Actually, the better question is why God let them get away with such incompetence!
