Has Wilt Chamberlain, Babe Ruth and such been dead dunked?

Post by _ZelphtheGreat »

All these great sports stars. Who gets to be baptized and do the Temple work for them?

Who did it for Jesus and the sealings to Mary and the other women?

Wonder who got Adolf Hitler and then got to stand in for him and Eva Braun in the marriage sealing?

Think it was Boyd K. Packer and Sherri Dew?
“If paying tithing means that you can’t pay for water or electricity, pay tithing. If paying tithing means that you can’t pay your rent, pay tithing. Even if paying tithing means that you don’t have enough money to feed your family, pay tithing." Ensign/2012/12

I don't know. But I hope that temple work has been done for Jesse Owens (officially named James Cleveland Owens, and later shortened to "JC" Owens, or "Jesse Owens") , one of my heroes of Track & Field.

Jesse Owens - 1936 Olympics

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT FOR TEENS #10: Jesse Owens and Luz Long — Sportsmanship and Character

Describing the event, Owens said, “You can melt down all the medals and cups I have and they wouldn’t be a plating on the 24-karat friendship I felt for Luz Long at that moment.” Though they never saw each other again, they kept in touch and as a soldier fighting for Germany in 1942, Long wrote this letter to Owens:

"My heart is telling me that this is perhaps the last letter of my life. If that is so, I beg one thing from you. When the war is over, please go to Germany, find my son and tell him about his father. Tell him about the times when war did not separate us and tell him that things can be different between men in this world. Your brother, Luz."

Luz Long died from battle wounds a year later at age 30. In 1951, Jesse Owens kept his promise and found Long’s son in war-torn German[y]. He later said that what he valued the most from Olympic experience had been his friendship with Luz Long.
(Emphasis added)

Jesse Owens and Luz Long, the paradoxical but enduring friendship, defiant of Nazi racism.

Babe Ruth has. Over a dozen times it looks like: Famous Dead Mormons: Babe Ruth

Couldn't find Wilt Chamberlain, but I'm sure he's been dead dunked several times, too.

I believe his and all the other corpses you mentioned are quite dry.
