It's official....PR does trump Divine Inspiration....

Slight editing of conference sermons is not uncommon, LDS Church spokeswoman Ruth Todd said Wednesday. "The Monday following every General Conference, each speaker has the opportunity to make any edits necessary to clarify differences between what was written and what was delivered or to clarify the speaker’s intent."

I'm trying to fully appreciate Ruth Todd's comment.
Who decides that what was delivered was not what was written, and if what was delivered was prompted by the Spirit (which it is claimed is the case) why does that not trump what was written by the speech writer?
If what was delivered did not convey the speakers intent, how is that established to be the case? In other words, how does the speaker know his/her intent was not conveyed effectively?
That said, with the Book of Mormon, we are not dealing with a civilization with no written record. What we are dealing with is a written record with no civilization. (Runtu, Feb 2015)

It is very simple. The speakers don't know what they are saying which is why it needs to be changed later.

Or is the Holy Ghost inspiring them to tell lies that have to be corrected? After all, The God of This World - as clearly taught in the Temple - is Satan. He is the inspiration behind the shopping mall and the real estate corporation masquerading as a church.
