You will let over three weeks pass by milking the Scratch/Liz BS and yet let valued, long time posters here leave because of this. Here has been the Public Poll you should have been listening to. Yet, of all the issues I've seen you take a soft/mushy stand on, you remain firm in this. I just don't understand it.

I need to step down as a moderator here. I can no longer try and "Clone Shades" in this issue or in the issue of inter-member personal battles being considered on-topic Mormon discussions.

I have to say I share your disquiet about the way things have gone in recent weeks, especially the tolerance extended to Liz/Yoda/Hermoine's self-obsessed and self-destructive posts. LDSToronto's image of the seagull with loose bowels voiding itself over the whole board seems all too apt to me.

You've done your best to cope with a next to impossible situation, made worse by the strange way this affair has been allowed to drag on, and the immense latitude given to Liz/Yoda/Hermoine, who has done things to herself that no enemy could have achieved. Now she has gone, and we are to lose you as a moderator too?

I hope Shades will beg you to stay. I am a pretty tough egg, and I am in any case a mere nevermo, whose contributions to a board like this are always dispensable. But your departure as a mod would render it just that bit less attractive to me.
