Polygamy - Substance over Form ??

By far, my biggest problem with the Church is Polygamy and all its never ending tentacles. However, after a life-time membership in the church, I still think I am not getting a straight story.

Ok, let me explain, IF God told Joseph Smith about the need for polygamy and IF he did, I would think he would have explained to Joseph Smith how to do and so on and so on. So how did he do it? Well, the only woman we know he ever lived with was Emma, The only children we know he had are those with Emma. Assuming the only woman he was legally married to according to the local government was Emma, then all the other women he was involved with were ONLY ceremoniously married. He didn't live with them, he didn't have any children that we know of, and wasn't really married to them. So I am to presume that this form of Polygamy was what God revealed to Joseph?? Whether or not he had sex with them, well, I wasn't there. Anyone can write anything in a journal. It doesn't prove anything. Maybe he did or maybe he didn't. Don't know, wasn't there. Right? Yet, The church tells me he was a polygamist. I say a form of it but in substance, he wasn't?? What I do know if that the type of polygamy Brigham Young lived was much different. He lived with them; he had sex with them and he had babies with them. This is totally different than what Joseph Smith did. In my heart, Brigham Young changed the rules of the game. BY modified what Joseph Smith did to meet his own needs. So in recap, in substance, I don't see that Joseph Smith really lived Polygamy. Perhaps in form he did, meaning he was sealed to them but not in reality. What I am I to think?? This is all BS!!!!! I think Polygamy was setup to hide Joseph Smith love and need for women. Hell, What did he do to piss off the people so much that they would want to drag him out of his home at night and kill him??? Fanny Alger (hint hint) BY just saw it differently and said "Hell" if I am going to be sealed to them I just as well have sex with them"???? Well I am being liberal here but you get my point. Polygamy is all BS!! If the Church didn't go away from it. It would have destroyed the Church. And why? Because it was all BS!!!! Today, for the love of GOD, if you marry a women for time and all eternity, why would you run out and marry another woman as soon as the first one dies??? I will tell you why.....because this is a Brigham Young Polygamy church. Its all BS!! Now I feel better ha ha

Oh I think when you really get down to it, you'll feel like the Catholic priest who, when he was shown a library in heaven of all the original texts, found out that the word actually was 'celebrate'.
