You mean like the alleged historical event where Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ?

I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who - is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are. - Milton Berle

Not exactly. But according to the critics, the lds should be well read on Mormon history, studying it every year according to critic interpretation and then perhaps take a yearly exam on it. And this must be repeated each year in case someone forgets what they have studied the previous year.

Plus, every investigator must also read lds history in depth and be tested at the end of the study period and if they pass, they then can become members.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world.

This is so far from what the "critics" are saying as to be laughable.

Seriously, do you have something substantive to offer or are you just comfortable making up stuff and looking silly?

And a lot of others...

President Thomas S. Monson (then First Counselor in the First Presidency) listed them in They Showed the Way - conference talk (May 1977)
He was visited by the angel Moroni. ... In the course of his ministry he was visited by John the Baptist, Moses, Elijah, Peter, James, and John

by the way as TSM recycled everything, this whole talk was repeated in First Presidency Message : Led by Spiritual Pioneers (Aug 2006)

BTW2 ... and that excerpt in his Testimony of Joseph Smith (Sep 2013)

I take my interpretation from the critics themselves. I have heard it repeated over and over again that the lds should study their history in classes and that the church should make sure that the church's history is known to the investigators. Would you be supportive of the church's interpretation of historical events, if they published a book on all the controversies that the critics wish members to know?

The issue is not that the Church doesn't teach its history, it's that the Church pretends to teach an accurate history through the primary, seminary, institute, gospel doctrine, BYU and missionary programmes.
That said, with the Book of Mormon, we are not dealing with a civilization with no written record. What we are dealing with is a written record with no civilization. (Runtu, Feb 2015)
