Both DB and Canard have managed to stay unbanned while at the same time voicing questions that have got a lot of other people banned. Kudos to them and to the mods for recognizing that difficult questions don't always come from "anti-mormons."

I especially like DB Mormon who does podcasts http://mormondiscussion.podbean.com/ pursuing difficult issues in a reasonable and moderate tone.

Thanks for the shout out (I'm mackay11 on every other forum but MDDB, where I'm canard78). I'm just a British nobody. Active but not very orthodox. I use three or four different social forums to try to discuss my questions and answers. I've been on MDDB for a while and have accepted that in order to participate and still hold an 'alternative' perspective that I have to stay civil. It involves a deletion of the first reply quite often but also helps to test my conclusions and assumptions.

DBMormon/Bill Reel is a really admirable guy. He's tried to walk the FairMormon line but I think is seen as a little too 'raw' for them. I enjoy his posts and hope he keeps up his voice for the middle way.

I thought I might get warned or banned on that last thread for continually questioning Wade's special breed of backhanded charity. I was surprised it came down the other way.
