In God's plan for the happiness and eternal progression of His children, the blessings of His priesthood are equally available to men and women. Only men are ordained to serve in priesthood offices. All service in the Church has equal merit in the eyes of God. We express profound gratitude for the millions of Latter-day Saint women and men who willingly and effectively serve God and His children. Because of their faith and service, they have discovered that the Church is a place of spiritual nourishment and growth.

We understand that from time to time Church members will have questions about Church doctrine, history, or practice. Members are always free to ask such questions and earnestly seek greater understanding. We feel special concern, however, for members who distance themselves from Church doctrine or practice and, by advocacy, encourage others to follow them.

Simply asking questions has never constituted apostasy. Apostasy is repeatedly acting in clear, open, and deliberate public opposition to the Church or its faithful leaders, or persisting, after receiving counsel, in teaching false doctrine.

They live!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure I see how what KK did falls under that definition, though.

I hate the church.

The Council of The First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints wrote:Simply asking questions has never constituted apostasy as long as it takes place quietly, privately and you are willing to demonstrate a suitably submissive attitude that meets the arbitrary standards of any interested priesthood authority.

There, fixed that.

What I read:

We feel special annoyance, however, for members who question our leadership and, by advocacy, encourage others to also question our authority. We don't like to be publicly questioned. We mean questions are technically okay, but don't ask them publicly, and don't expect us to answer or respond to them. Without public advocacy we can and will easily ignore you.

i don't understand why the First Presidency would be commenting on a private matter "between a member and his or her local Church leader".

When you ask questions, it might cause those around you to say "Hey, that's a great question". Therefore, all questions must be asked in private, and kept to yourselves. Put those questions on the shelf, and then lock the shelf in a closet where nobody else can see it.

Well, there you have it. I guess my campaign to escalate is officially over. Hi fives to Tim, Rollo, and Kish, who have beaten me. Good game guys.

I wonder if Holland Jr. still sees no evidence for Kate's proceedings coming from beyond her local leaders? No evidence, none at all?

Well, the TBMs can thank their critics. Without the tremendous efforts of the critics, they would have never got their one and only revelation for the year 2014.

Does that count as a revelation?
