Professor, is it just because of her name that I find it impossible to believe anything she says?
The big difference here is that what the ancient Cassandra said was true.
But the thought did cross my mind!

"Rocks don't speak for themselves" is an unfortunate phrase to use in defense of a book produced by a rock actually 'speaking' for itself... (I have a Question, 5.15.15)
A faith community bound by loyalty to an inspired organization and leadership can reasonably conclude that loud public antagonism, destructive to that loyalty, requires discipline to preserve the overall health of the community. We hope that sorrowing church members and outside observers can understand that truth.
Bound by loyalty to the organisation and leadership.
Wow.
That said, with the Book of Mormon, we are not dealing with a civilization with no written record. What we are dealing with is a written record with no civilization. (Runtu, Feb 2015)

Every Sunday? On a different LDS forum, I had read that one meeting a month for an hour is the usual requirement. Any longer than that is being disrespectful to members' time with their families on a Sunday.

I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who - is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are. - Milton Berle
i have been on a lot of ward councils in three different states. i have never been in a ward where the ward council met weekly. is that new? is that part of the increased leadership for women?
i know bishopric and PEC has met more often, but the whole ward council was every other week or less.
not that it matters in his arguments, just curious to know if that has changed along with adding pictures of women to the conference center hallways.

Paredes is probably lying to suit his diatribe. He will hold ward council on a monthly basis, like everywhere else does.
