LDS Inc now producing Book of Mormon videos set in Heartland(USA)

The LDS Apologist Pahoran has a strong distaste for the Heartland theory for the Book of Mormon. Here is what he stated:

Well Mister Chung, I don't know where you've been; but some form of Mesoamerican LGT has been the dominant view in LDS scholarly circles since 1950 at the latest.

The most common "folklore" view has always been the "hemispheric" model. The silly, parochial, US-centric "Heartland" model is a recent innovation.

Why don't you try talking to some real believing Mormons sometime?

apologists vs. general authorities ?

1. Were any member of the High Fifteen (or member of the Nth Seventies) an apologist --- or somebody in LDS scholarly circles since 1950 at the latest? Did we see the name of ONE OF THEM in the apologist's writings?
2. Was any apologist (or somebody in LDS scholarly circles since 1950 at the latest) called as GA?
3. Who is Pahoran?

Am I the only one bothered by the ridiculous CGI effects? It was hard for me to watch glowing Jesus in his badly applied beard makeup. Also the schmaltz...I guess that I've been away from it for too long. It just seemed like "Heartsell" placed in turbo mode. Gross.

John Turturro should be brougnt in to play Jesus in these movies. He is already familiar with playing Jesus as a character. You can see how well he does in The Big Lebowski. A real Jesus for the masses.
