BC, why do you and Ludd have almost identical avatars?
Don't know.
What gives with you heretical apologetic faithful types and the long hair? Is it the whole living by proxy thing?
I wasn't aware that I am a heretic except to exmos trying to maintain their straw man version of the LDS Church.

ok-going back to the ira fulton bailout in november 2008:
"The ira fulton deal has left local real-estate professionals shaking their heads. They say the land isn't worth anything close to what the church paid."($70M)
"Now the orphaned land of Avalea belongs to the church, and some local analysts say Shea and Fulton got off lucky."
"It's a phenomenal deal for the home builders, because very few buyers, I think, would be willing to pay that kind of money,"
Matt Baldwin, spokesman for Salt Lake City-based Property Reserve, did not return phone calls left last week, and neither did church officials.
BIG SURPRISE. SO WHY WOULD A MONEY-WISE ORGANIZATION LIKE LDS, INC. MAKE SUCH A FOOLISH LAND PURCHASE FROM IRA FULTON???
"Fulton Homes founder Ira Fulton is a high-profile Mormon and philanthropist who has donated more than $250 million combined to Arizona State University, the church-owned Brigham Young University and the University of Utah."
CHALK IT UP AS AN INVESTMENT IN FUTURE "PHILANTHROPY"
So is Property Reserve involved in the current land swap-i will bet part of Brother Fulton's previoulsy owned land is involved as is land for homes to be sold to fulton at firesale prices so he can "get back on his feet" so to speak and keep giving to the Morg.
just sayin

They probably had their staff attorneys execute the deal...sans broker.

Huh? You think
I am an "apologetic faithful type"? Really? Perhaps you could link to a post or two of mine where my "apologetic faithfulness" is shown.
And you seriously think my avatar is "almost identical" to bcspace's 80's glam-rocker avatar?

Your absolutely right! Wow! I never thought about it until right now, but it's almost a dead ringer.
