I do feel stupid for believing and not questioning until years later.
Had I searched "horses Book of Mormon" on say Alta-Vista, I would have left before Y2K.
Had I viewed the movie "The God Makers" in the 80's or ran across Brody's book I would have left in my later teens.
There are plenty of smart people who believe stupid crap. I just happen to know the most about stupid Mormon crap.
And while I respect people like you and your secular life, I cannot deny that I feel you believe in some 100% demonstrably false things.
This is why I was bold within days of my epiphany. I told my then wife, I do not want my children being raised in this stupid crap and do not want them to be adult members.
I raised them as cynical atheists and so far have two happy productive adults out there that barely remember the stupid crap that their parents once believed in.
For fun this Halloween, my son is dressing up as a Mormon missionary! He even went and bought a Book of Mormon since we don't have any LOL
