Even before the new essay on plural marriage came out, people were commenting that it had been a long time since we had heard a "Joseph Smith talk" in General Conference, like the one given by Elder Anderson.
It is pretty obvious to me that Elder Anderson must have known the new polygamy essay would be published scant weeks after his talk.
How well do you think Elder Anderson's talk did in preparing people for the new essay on plural marriage?
