I don't think you understand. What I meant was that no members of the Church have the time to learn the comprehensive history of the LDS Church. There's too much material. It would be the equivalent of a perpetual graduate degree.
Ok. So what do you suggest a lay member be learning? Should it be the PAT answers that are talked about every week? Go to church, read your scriptures, say your prayers? Whatever floats their boat doesn't help someone get into heaven. Surely they need some direction from the Prophet as to what is the most important things to learn that can earn them a first class ticket to the highest degree of the Celestial Kingdom. After all, isn't that what a prophet is for? To provide guidance that helps his followers navigate this thing called life?
