It was. You are delusional.

This has nothing to do with the existence of intelligent life outside of our biosphere, only with the fantastical delusional beings from the 9th dimension and Plan Tobin fro Outer Space.

How stupid do you have to be, to not be able to comprehend this. Pretty stupid. Welcome to Tobin's world.

Note to K&J AND grindael:
Tobin wrote:So far I don't see you denying what I said. And as I've said before, I don't expect you to believe what I said I experienced. In fact, I've cautioned others not to since in fact it may have been a delusion. Now, do I believe it was a delusion or that I'm deluded? No. But since I believe I'm rational, I am certainly open to the possibility. I think that is a far better position than someone like you that lacks the intellectual curiosity to openly and honestly consider the existence of intelligent life outside our biosphere.
Try actually reading the thread genius and responding to my actual positions instead of the ones in your head. Again, I'll remind you that you brought this up. I didn't. You are the one disputing this possibility, but on what grounds one has to wonder?!? If grindael believes that intelligent life exists outside our biosphere, he must admit this is a possibility. Can grindael actually be honest about that? I doubt it.

I don't have to admit to any of YOUR delusions Tobin. That is about as honest as it gets. Your comprehension skills need work, pal. The reason why I don't believe in YOUR don't go for the nooky aliens is because YOU said they exist and YOU are DELUSIONAL.

And you have a serious problem with being logically consistent and being honest. It is rather funny that you dispute there is intelligent life outside our biosphere because I said it, but you don't deny it when others say it. Too bizarre.

The only thing I'm disputing is your delusional and bizarre rantings.

Since I've demolished all of your arguments, you are failing quite badly disputing a thing I've said. In fact, the only thing you've been consistent about is being derogatory and insulting. But I knew I had to hold my nose when dealing with you because you are childishly pugnacious.

Told you that you were delusional. The only thing you smell is yourself. I would probably be holding my nose if I were within your proximity also.

This is the nub of the matter. As the evidence for the existence of earth-like exoplanets builds up, many scientifically literate people have come to believe it is probable that there is life elsewhere in the universe.

We still know very little about how an intelligent species evolves, and we have no guarantee that such a species will survive for long. But it is not impossible that there is at least one intelligent species somewhere else a long, long way away.

All that is a matter of scientific judgement.

The difference between Tobin and the perfectly sane scientifically educated people who make probability judgements like these is that Tobin believes that a representative of an extremely advanced exo-species took the trouble to visit him briefly in his locked apartment, and to tell him with great seriousness that he should not have sex with his girlfriend (or possibly, not to kill someone - that point is unclear).

Nope. We've stopped talking science. We are talking delusion here.

That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.
