See Amy, when your side is making literally 1,000's of lies, misrepresentations, etc. about Mormonism and Mormons (and many more can be provided), you should ask yourself at what point is maybe you're not on God's side in your activities? It's one thing to error, we all do, but when someone literally lies in nearly every word they say, using a little truth to tell great lies, at what point is a person not a true "Christian" in that?

Mormons or other good willed people don't do that against others.
We first don't have ministry's against whatever, and then if we ever do speak, we don't lie and misrepresent at all concerning whatever we might have contempt for. Sure, there might be the rare error, to error is human, but the key word there is "rare". Literally 1,000's of lies by anti-mormonism on whatever subject is not error, but of evil, the Devil himself.

You think you "tell the actual truth" about Mormonism and Mormons. However, you do not, it is a distoration, a perversion, a lie in nearly every case and claim of yours. If your claims were true (minus the rare human error and falibility) we simply wouldn't be Mormons. Our entire worldviews is based on knowing what is really true, and having zero interest in man-made religion, the doctrines of men mingled with the doctrines of God.

Our standard is extremely high.... which means, you have been lied to, and are a willing participant in that lie, you bear false witness of others.

The lies are coming from your camp, not the former Mormons. You falsely accuse us of being "anti" Mormon, when we're really anti-lies and distortions.

Mormonism was built on lies, fabrications and distortions. The fact that some of us here have reached that conclusion sooner than yourself seems to be lost on yer wee lil head. I opened each of your links and I am familiar with them all. I have no doubt that there is a slant to some of the questions and an error or two in the videos but overall they convey the problems with Mormonism. The fourth link is quite old material, Ed Decker and the Godmakers, Ed started out with a good idea but got caught up in sensationalism. Much is true that he tried to expose but he has lost all credibility for me in my view.

All your examples, I admit, are not scholarly works. I see your criticisms as not real scholarly either. I fail to see how your views and opinions of others on politics and political history have any bearing on the Mormon issues and questions but you freely spew them out. As I said before I think you have a narrow mind that paints with a broad brush. Maybe I need to reread your post on the other thread but I took your comments and personal attacks as pointed at the posters on this board. But I failed at first to realize that you were painting with your broad brush and somehow you think I need to defend what Ed Decker has done and said in the past or an error in a video made by some group I am not affiliated with. Please point out the evil ignorant lies made by the posters on this board and without the politics please and then maybe we can have a conversation. I don't condone SuperDell's personal attack but I think he took your comments as personal attacks on the posters of this board and I did too.

Again I repeat.... If I go on a Catholic board, I don't lie about it's history, it's leaders words, Catholic doctrine, etc. in order to be critical of the Catholic Church, it's leaders, etc.. I might make the rare misunderstanding, but I read and relay the history doctrines etc. for what they are and what they believe. I don't create a lying characterization of everything I say about them.

I wasn't referring to people religiously attacking each other. Perhaps I should have been more clear. I'm referring to people taking a critical look at things, in this case, a religion. Many of the people you refer to as anti-Mormon are actually ex-LDS. I'm going to assume that they know what they're talking about having lived and studied Mormonism throughout their lifetime and found it lacking in some form or another.

Again I repeat.... If I go on a Catholic board, I don't lie about it's history, it's leaders words, Catholic doctrine, etc. in order to be critical of the Catholic Church, it's leaders, etc.. I might make the rare misunderstanding, but I read and relay the history doctrines etc. for what they are and what they believe. I don't create a lying characterization of everything I say about them.

I think that what you're calling "stop the faith of Mormons" is actually in most cases, people making an attempt to expose the lies they believe are being forwarded by the LDS Church.

They have a right to do so.

Next time you refer to "Christ's own words" and name two chapters of the New Testament, might you be so kind as to quote the portions of those books that you are referring to? There are many here who are unfamiliar with the Bible itself and speaking only for myself, I have no clue what you're referencing or why you are referencing it unless you quote chapter and verse.

I guess I am to assume this post is for me but from rantings I can't really tell. How about forget the past stuff (that is what the church does) and we discuss the new stuff like the essays or take on the CES Letter bit by bit and start a new conversation? Or you can continue your rant on each of your postings and I will continue to hold back the urge to type in fat jokes.
