I have REPEATEDLY almost the the point of OBSESSIVELY called people out for putting temple content in this forum. I find this material to be offensive, and I have said so many times.

Let me chime in with my observations having participated with Kishkumen both on and off the board.

You are barking up the wrong tree with allegations that Kishkumen is more prone to find fault with believers than post Mormons for similar conduct.

This is utter rubbish.

Kishkumen regularly gets at odds with others on the board for doing the exact opposite of what you allege.

Anybody with an acquaintance of what happens on this board would know that. And I’m not even talking about ancient history.

You could make this allegation about some others on the board and you might have a leg to stand on.

But Kishkumen?

It’s like accusing the Pope of being Protestant.

A big man recognizes when he’s wrong and apologizes.

I hope you will do the same.
Aw shucks. I am very touched that you would say such a thing. Not to mention profoundly honored. When I grow up, I want to be as thoughtful, principled, and consistent as consiglieri.

I think more than anyone here, Kish is pretty consistent in his standards, irrespective of who is being naughty.
Thank you, toon. I am honored by your regard for me.

Your perception of Kishkuman is dead wrong and shows more about your bias than his.
Thank you very much, Stig. Esteem from a person of your high caliber and great character is very meaningful and I won’t forget it.

Just thinking that mocking, profaning, carping, making fun of, bullying etc seem to part of this and other generations DNA. From school days of words like nerd, 4 eyes, pig, slut etc are routine in almost every school. Putting people down to establish one's own "i am cool and superior" kind of notion are used throughout the culture. Talk radio is way out front as they blast both political sides unilaterally usually without the target being able to respond. When it comes to religion almost all are subject to mocking at one or many levels and that mocking seems to me will continue. Now as as a RC profaning the Eucharist is probably the worst followed by nazi type symbols painted on a altar or the church burning down. Pastor/priests see
more than few instances of teens usually boys receiving the sacred host at communion in their hands then going back to the pew and spitting it out or stomping it on the floor. As can be seen in this thread Mormons and their rituals are targets as well at many levels to. I witnessed two minor instances of Mormons mocking cathoics and evangelical on a tour of the Holy Land. I was on tour as the only RC on the bus with 40 or so seemed to be TBM including my wife. When the bus pulled up to the chrurch of the nativity in Bethelem there were about 300 "pilgrims" waiting in line to visit the grotto whenere Jesus was alleged to be born. The tour director a man had not planned for this long wait by getting tickets to get to the front of the line with our group. The wait may have been 1-3 hours and the tour guide could not tolerate that-so he came back to bus and told us it wouldb be long wait and he felt we should just leave. When a person on the tour said that's fine but could just describe the scene at the grotto. The tour guide well really its only a lot of candles and incense and just a "hole in the ground." Only myself was offended and I told him later and privately what i thought of his remarks. To his credit he later apologized to all of us for making fun of a site that was sacred to other religions primarily RCs.

Later the bus stopped at the Jordan river and a number of evangelical groups were baptizing people in white clothes in the river. We watched from a rail fence about 30 yards away for about 20 minutes. I was personally moved by the scene of the baptisms and thought it pretty impressive. But the three or four Mormon men next to me went on and on laughing and mocking saying "that's stupid and that's not going to help them ". This time i said nothing- what was the use? From pillsbury doughboy hats to skating in the temple clothes there must be many different and levels of mocking the Mormon religion. As seen in the thread Mormons also make fun of or mock other faith traditions. I don't see any of this stopping anytime soon!

just sayin'

The Mopologists have always been willing to do almost anything to score points against critics, and that evidently includes profaning the temple.
So showing us scenes of a porn actress dressed in Temple garb is okay if it pokes the critics?

You know, there is a really funny Far Side that comes to mind. Can't find it, so this will have to do:
