First picture is boot at Pendleton, looks like graduation.
The second pic has the laser adaptors on the ends of the rifles, used for combat training/simulation. Looks like training also at Pendelton.

I was right! :-)
I know only one person in real life who went to basic at Camp Pendleton. I sure thought that might be the location.

LOL, and they still won't appologize and correct themselves.... Predictable, and as I said would happen.
At least Jersey Girl has some reasonableness, despite our differences.
For those still doubting (amazing
).... Here's some over time later pics of me.
It can be clearly seen I'm still the same person.

Faqs,
I always say what I think around here, no matter who it involves. I don't know what the circumstances of your separation were, but I'm telling you straight up, you looked damn sharp in uniform.

1. First pic is the MCRD.
2. Second pic is Camp Pendleton and the adapters on the end are safety blocks, so we don't shoot anyone.
3. The Fatigues are just our wear what we want fatigues, which is why my friend is wearing a lighter version.

My uncle flew almost 60 combat missions between Gulf War I, and in later no-fly zone enforcement (received a Distinguished Flying Cross for one of the missions in GWI). He flew F-111s, and EF-111s -- at least until he became too high of a rank to fly anymore.
I remember every night, sitting around the TV, with the VHS recording, watching the news. Back then, I loved GI Joe's, and "playing war," but it was so frightening and sureal, watching the footage, knowing that someone I loved was there.
I wonder if my dad still has those VHS tapes -- would be interresting to go back and watch them now, over two decades later.
ETA: Incidentally, this same uncle is currently serving as a mission president. Wonder what it’s like to go from flying jets, to babysitting teens.

I basically don't like people ragging on military about their discharges.
I hear you. But it's not his LTH discharge that's being attacked so much as his credibility. His LTH discharge wouldn't even be an issue if he didn't brag so much about about having been a Marine...and an almost-cop, and an expert on cults, and an expert on the nature of evil, etc.

Surprise, surprise, there is no divine mandate for the Church to discuss and portray its history accurately.
