Did you know that more men are raped in the US than women?
It occurs in Prison..... 216,000 prisoners are raped per year in the U.S., compared to about 90,000 reported rapes outside prison

So prison, in your mind, is like a vacation where you are likely to get raped?

Wow...

They are ready for the impending collapse of society. I reckon they haven't thought out what it will really mean if society collapse to the point they are defending their horde with firearms .

No, I have never shot it.

They also have an HK MP5 full auto. Bring on the zombies.

A couple of months ago I watched a 10 year fire a Barret at an indoor range. One loud mother and ten feet away I could feel the blast wave.

I have also seen a .50 cal for $2500 at the gun shop. Probably not a Barret.

Nonetheless, hard to think of a weapon of choice less likely than a 30 pound, single shot rifle that costs $12K and fires 4 dollar rounds for one man defending his home during the Apocalypse.

Such are the values of LDS preppers.

My neighbour, who was my Chemistry professor at BYU, bought a Barrett .50 cal to go along with his new $10K commercial bunker he had built. At the first of every month he would stand up and give a somewhat disturbing but heartfelt prepper testimony that we were in the eleventh hour and that the members church needed to wake up and deal with it. One month he told of how he would put electric blankets in his bed to fool the Blackhawks with their infrared technology that kept flying over his house. That one got him released as the stake executive secretary.

Mr. Faqs,

Rambo used various handguns, a compound bow, a serrated knife, a flamethrower, various rifles, various machine guns (most notably the M60), shotguns, various ordinances and ordinance launchers, various helicopters and tanks, but not once... Not one time did he use the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW).

When have you 'trained' with the M249 SAW, and with whom?

- Doc

Yes, I know he used many weapons, we were talking about heavier machine guns.
Actually he used the M60E3 Medium Machine Gun, as compared with the M60 Heavy Machine gun.
The M249 SAW was designed as a smaller/lighter replacement for the M60E3, so that's why I mistook it.

I'm an ex-Marine, Infantry/Security Forces during the first Gulf War.
I've posted a pic already on this forum when someone else called me a liar when I stated my background.

And as usual, you people just don't know how to read.....
I clearly stated that it's NOT a vacation for some, the weaker and non-physical criminals, hence one reason why my solution would fix that. Things being in the open, there's no place for the preditor's to victimize the weak.

FYI, "career criminals" tend to be the main problem with the system, and they tend to be the preditors that victimize weaker criminals.
My solution fixes many problems.

Mr. Faqs,

The M60E3 is as different from the SAW as a Glock 22 is different from a Beretta 9mm. A Marine would've known the difference.

Post your 214.

ETA: I searched for your pic that you say you posted, but I can't find any post with your Marine Corps photo. I wouldn't mind seeing it.

Also, the above weapon on the Humvee is a 50 Cal.

There are 50 Cal. Sniper Rifles, that thus can be carried easily.

Rambo was a fictional character. He was not real. He and Lehi have that in common.

A ten year old - hope he was big for his age.

Anyone (especially a civilian) who has fired one of these things won't soon forget the experience. A contributor from upthread PM'ed me with a short video of an adult female relative firing a Barrett .50 cal on an indoor range from the prone position. Seems that one round was plenty. (She seemed shocked and a bit unsteady as she began to stand up afterwards.)

The single lane indoor range at the factory is a long tunnel with sound deadening pyramidal polyurethane panels on the walls a ceiling all the way down, and it still makes a hell of a noise.

This is a lie. You aren't punished with a General, Less than Honorable, or Dishonorable discharge for health-related reasons... Psychiatric or otherwise.

Correct.
Marine Corps Separation and Retirement Manual wrote:Marines excused for medical or psychological issues that impair their ability to serve but would otherwise have performed honorably are also eligible for an honorable discharge.

Enough of the obfuscation and vague apologist style responses there, ldsfaqs.

If you haven't figured it out yet, those of us who have served in the Corps are proud of it and can get a bit annoyed with those who only claim to have done so with no basis in fact.

If you were in the USMC, you would have one of the documents listed below (filled out signed and dated as an official DD-214 form). And believe me, it is not a document that anyone who has served with honor would just forget about or misplace. It would help your rapidly crumbling credibility if you would indicate which you have.

- ______ Honorable Discharge

- ______General Discharge Under Honorable Conditions

- ______Other Than Honorable Discharge (OTH)

- ______Bad Conduct Discharge (BCD

- ______Dishonorable Discharge
