"MMM was a wagon train full of anti-mormon religious bigots, who mocked the Saints, ..." - ldsfaqs

NO wonder the Mods from the MD&D Board has banned him. He does more damage to the image of the LDS Church with his posting than any of the LDS critics do.

Spare me.... The other 9/11 was Japan Attacking Pearl Harbor.

MMM was a wagon train full of anti-mormon religious bigots, who mocked the Saints, said they were involved in the various attrocity's done to the saints state to state, and so the Mormons and some Indians, and dressing as Indians decided to take "revenge".

It was wrong, a tragedy.... But, I don't see you crying about all the atrocity's committed against the Saints up till that time.
Even good people can do wrong if enough wrong occurs to them.

It's pretty sad when even a Never knows that you don't know what you're talking about.

Here is the Church's latest response in 5 Things Every Mormon Should Know about the Massacre of one hundred and twenty women, men and children of the wagon train bound for California:

1. The Church was under threat of government military attack. For all they knew the Men, Women and Children of the wagon train company represented troopers.

2. The massacre was planned and perpetrated by local Church leaders. Stake president Isaac Haight was unwilling to let the “offenders” live in peace.

3. Brigham Young sent orders to let the emigrants pass in peace. Brigham Young is blameless, honest falsely accused Paiutes!

4. Church members involved in the massacre faced discipline and trial. After the massacre, John D. Lee remained an active leader in Mormon affairs in southern Utah. That is until the Federal Government insisted upon a trial and Brigham Young put forth sacrificial goat and murderer, John D. Lee. Apr 20, 1961 - First Presidency and Twelve approve rebaptism and full reinstatement of priesthood blessings for John D. Lee, only executed participant in Mountain Meadows Massacre. Ordinances occur on May 8-9, 1961. There was a statue erected to the memory of John D. Lee in the town of Washington, Utah. The statue was taken down after the gentiles said it was in poor taste. The other 119 Mormon Elders got away with murder.

5. Some Church members today are descendants of the massacre’s survivors. During the massacre, 17 children were spared, considered “too young to tell tales.”

One other historical note that was not included in this Church statement was that the U.S. Army constructed a grave cairn at the site in 1859 topped with a cedar cross. The monument was destroyed in 1861, when Young brought an entourage to Mountain Meadows. Wilford Woodruff, who later became President of the Church, claimed that upon reading the inscription on the cross, which read, "Vengeance is mine, thus saith the Lord. I shall repay", Young responded, "it should be vengeance is mine and I have taken a little."

"What America is tasting now is something insignificant compared to what we have tasted for scores of years. Our nation [the Islamic world] has been tasting this humiliation and this degradation for more than 80 years. Its sons are killed, its blood is shed, its sanctuaries are attacked, and no one hears and no one heeds." - Osama bin Laden right after 9/11.

Sounds like the same thing to me.

You tell a lot of lies. This is the worst.

May God have mercy on your soul.

That post is everything we have come to expect from ldsfaqs. He repeats Mormon urban myths, comes across as a total asshole, and offers even more proof he's a total idiot when, on a thread that posts tragedies that occurred on 9/11, he cites Pearl Harbor.

I thought you meant 9/11 1973 when Pinochet and his military cronies, backed by the CIA and US money, killed Allende in Chilé. Pinochet ruled with an iron hand and loaded weapons from 1973-1990. Tens of thousands of Chilean people lost their lives to this military dictatorship and hundreds of thousands of Chileans fled the country.

(By the way, Chileans consider themselves Americans,... South Americans)

Wow, decided to take some 'revenge'. Does the current LDS leadership know this? This is pretty damning, maybe ldsfaqs has decided to reverse himself again, because I can't see a devout LDS admitting this.

But, he's educated himself in all things, so I will run this by my LDS family members so they know the MMM was intentional, deliberate, massively scaled murder. Like what terrorists do. For revenge.

Allende committed suicide.
