Damn him for taking the high rode, right when I'm super worked up.

Right? He's a real mensch.

I remember Seth as being a very good and decent man.

I wish him and his loved ones well during this time.

Peace,

Yeah, what Ceebs said.

I actually saw this on David's Facebook wall - he didn't say anything about following Seth out, just that it was a big loss for the church. I personally think David, like me, is considering ALL his options at this point.

The LDS church has lost a truly good man.

Seth is the example of the types of members I see leaving right now. If I recall correctly Seth did graduate studies in religion and lost his faith but he stayed connected to the community. In the past year I recall reading his writings and wondering if he had become active again.

Losing friendly influential voices is a big loss for the church.

Seth Payne has always been a stellar example to both sides of the aisle. There is no doubt that he made this decision with care and consideration. I hope he finds comfort in choosing the right.

This latest action by the church has, partly for personal reasons, really (negatively) moved me. The harm it will cause innocent people is tragic. If I were still a member, I would resign immediately as well.
