The Church History Library has recently placed several new items on display in its “Foundations of Faith” exhibit

I will agree that these artifacts coupled with Joseph Smith's translations rest squarely on the foundations of faith and have nothing to do with facts or scientific proofs. The Joseph Smith translations and the original claim that he was revealing Egyptian anew have been proven false. There isn't a soul alive (Mormon or not) that believes those translations of Facsimile No. 3 are genuine Egyptian translations. There is no need for faith. It's simply a dead issue.

Flush. And along goes Joseph Smith down the drain where he and his translations belong.

How hardly is it based on facts or proven scientific methods. It's the oft repeated: "May have been"

Thus we see the weak reasoning offered by the lying Mormons who are ever seeking to woo others into their cult to submit themselves as slaves to the General Authorities who run a worldwide cult.

Could it be that Anubis a great Egyptian god MAY HAVE BEEN a slave? Is it plausible? Is it even possible? No, how hardly. To the Mormons, I say, "Curse you", be gone you liars. Mormonism is a disease to the human race and infection upon mankind. It's very foundation is evil.

I am currently reading Who Really Wrote the Book of Mormon?: The Spalding Enigma and I am struck by the fact that there is much more evidence for a missing Spalding manuscript (which is called "Manuscript Found" for some odd reason) than there is for the missing scroll theory. If members are willing to accept the flimsy evidence that the parts of the Hor scroll that Joseph Smith used to translate the Book of Abraham is missing, they should also be overwhelming convinced that the Book of Mormon was a rip off of a missing Spalding manuscript. After all there are the written testimonies, never denied, of eight witnesses from Conneaut who testified that the Book of Mormon has the same character names and story line of the Manuscript Found.

His statement is correct. There is actually some evidence for a missing manuscript. Not great but some. There is no evidence to support the missing papyri hypothesis, and a lot of great evidence against. While I don't argue for a missing manuscript, it is a major difference for one to argue for it compared to one who argues for missing papyri.

Yeah, I should keep away from if i was you. After all, it's only canonized scripture and all that. Could easily damage your testimony.

And to be a Mormon, you really do need to avoid reading and thinking too much. "Joseph Smith was a true prophet. The church is true": all the rest is commentary, and you are better off without it.
