The Book of Abraham makes me sad that Joseph Smith was killed. He was really starting to ramp up the nuttiness. If he had lived for another 40 years think of all the amazing things we would have today. We might have the Book of Joseph, The Book of Ham (from the Kinderhook Plates), The Book of Zoron: King of the Moon Quakers, The Book of Zelph the White Lamanite, and that's just the material queued up before he died. I'm sure he would have found more bones and engravings that required a story. Although the Book of Mormon and Book of Abraham are great, we were robbed of an even bigger treasure trove of truly awesome and hilarious material. Brigham Young was boring. Just a typical tyrant.

If Joseph Smith would have lived longer, we might have gotten more to Doctrine and Covenants Section 132.

Yep. He died just in time so that boring Brigham could sort of stabilize the theological and stop its tragectory.
