Elder Roger Orton saw a mighty angel riding upon a horse of fire, with a flaming

Saints, even the Lord’s anointed, from the power of Satan and a host of evil spirits, which were
striving to disturb the Saints. 11. HC

He obviously believed it. So Angels can ride horses made of Fire but a 30 ft. sword is too unbelievable?

How soon before a defender reaches for the Bible billy club and starts beating down the christians with "So you believe that Moses parted the Red Sea, or that Jesus went barefoot surfing on the sea of Galilee, but this 30 foot sword wielding angel is too much??"

My carnal mind thought of an analogy between the 'flaming sword" and Joseph Smiths "member".

Perhaps it was Joseph's way of saying "it hurts when I pee".

I started a thread on MDDB before it went kaput pointing out the unrealistic ages and even less realistic generational gaps.

Several people replied with: "If you believe Adam lived over 900 years then why can't the Nephites live for 100+ years and have kids in their 60s?

Which of course had a simple answer: "You're assuming I believe the creation myths of a middle-eastern tribe dreamt up round the camp fires on a quiet evening thousands of years ago. I don't."

Apparently that was when I lost credibility.

(P.S. I hope you'll take in an MDDB refugee. I'm in withdrawal. Cold turkey's not pleasant. I'm not sure debating with ldsfaqs is going to do it for me. It's no morphine to my MDDB heroin fix).
