I've noticed over the last few months there has been a slow, but major shift in tone and content at MAD. It certainly is not pro-LDS anymore. Almost every thread is challenged by skeptics and level-headed posters.

You can almost feel the anger oozing from posters like Scott Lloyd, the Mods and Calm, because they realize there is nothing they can do to take their board back.

MAD has clearly jumped the shark. If you haven't already done so, you should take a gander over there. It's hilarious.

Last time I checked in, mfbukowski was telling some Catholic something along the lines of 'at least Mormons don't keep chunks of Jesus flesh up on the table all through church,' Scott Lloyd was insisting he needed his phone during Sacrament Meeting so he could log in new members who could be nabbed for callings and to access the Samoan lyrics for 'Praise to the Man,' and Calm was explaining how many posts she had and why everyone liked her.

So yes, I agree, the MAD board has clearly jumped the shark.

Calmoriah is not a nice person in my opinion. I know from experience.

I love seeing the MADboard suffer. They've ban everyone with a lick of common sense and decency in the past.

I guess he's right. The Teachers throw it in the trash can after Sacrament Meeting ends. And then there's still another 2 hours to go.

The moderates like ALarson, Rockpond, Canard, Stemelbow (yes our Stemelbow-he has really gone from a wishy washy defender to a wishy washy critic), HappyJackWagon, DBMormon, BlueDreams, Nevo and a few more have really taken control. Throw in a few who have their foot out the door Tacenda, , Jeanne, JulieM, and a few more, then add in those who have completely left like JKWilliams, JohnnyCake, Salgare, Consiglieri, etc; and you account for more than half the posts going on.

I see a lot less moderators interference then in previous years, though they are using the "limited" punishment for those who are really vocal against the church like Consig and Salgare. Surprisingly, JKWilliams is allowed to post as much as he wants but that probably is due to how nice he is more than anything.

They still are much more lenient with those aggressive posters who seem to be defending some version of the church than they are with those they view as critics.

It is amusing to watch both MFB and Scott "Baghdad Bob" Lloyd over there. The former defending the Church by attacking it's very foundation and the latter frothing at the mouth with indignity and self righteousness in every post.

You know I think that if Lloyd thought the brethren wanted it, he would vote for Clinton.

Wait, what? Of course they can take their board back. . . anytime they want. All they have to do is ban the posters who win arguments, just like they've always done.

Well, anti-Mormons have never "won" arguments.... because the full facts and truth has never been on their side.
So, I don't agree with that.

Me I was last banned there because I simply asked someone to stop personally attacking me, to stop trying to cause problems.
That's all I did and I was banned for "derailing" or whatever, even though the other guy is the one who derailed.

I believe they realize how stale and boring their board became with the regulars. I assume that is why they had that grace period where they undid all the limited and allowed some permabans like myself back in.

If they were to ban any of the regular posters there they would be back to so darn stale its dead. They really have lost out to the critics and could not survive with out them there.

I've pushed the limits as I don't care if they ban me. I ended up on limited from badgering mfb over his brand of Mormonism

but the bright side, they now have cowboy! hehe

The death of Mopologetics has been traumatic for them I'm sure.
