Reading about General Haight, it is hard not to think about 30 or so raw recruits standing on in formation on the hot paved parade ground (grinder) at MCRD in San Diego and shouting out, in unison, the recital of especially pertinent portions of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) as a learning exercise in preparation for one of the tests required to be considered a US Marine.

One phrase that always brought a smile to some of our faces (because it had to do with sexual conduct and we were 19) was:

"-- any penetration is sufficient to complete the offense " - Sir.

How in the hell could an Army General think that he would be able to get away with this kind of crap. Who did he think he was - General Eisenhower?

I personally find the Comments Section the most instructive, entirely exposing liberalism for what it is.

Further, since the military (a.k.a. liberals) have no problem with gay sex, tranny sex, etc.
I don't see why they care about an "Affair".
Sure, he "misused" resources (whatever that actually was, likely nothing big at all, which is why it wasn't mentioned), but that's a minor tap on the wrist for anyone normally.

I would suspect they simply wanted him out, cause maybe he was more conservative, so they could put a Liberal in his place, one that towed the party line in relation to efforts against Russia, as they have been doing since Obama's been in office. Replacing key leaders with liberals by any means they can, including just forcing them to retire. There's all kinds of story's of this, so it's not some "conspiracy" theory either. I've heard and read several interviews of this happening to people.

by the way, is he even Mormon? Is he even active? Also, you all do know non-Mormons go to BYU? Sure, he looks like in his case he could be Mormon or have Mormon heritage, but still.

The military is liberal? Huh.

OHHHHH, I see. Because they aren't conforming to your brand of so-called "conservatism" whatever that may be.

I seem to recall you posting about a YouTube video a while back were a gung-ho Major claimed to have been kicked out of the Army special forces because he was conservative and the military was only concerned about promoting touchy-feely sensitivity training or something like that. This despite no evidence in the source you provided regarding how he left the service. It seemed like smoke and mirrors, and a whinny Major who had potential psych issues being unpromotable. Seem to recall he claimed he disobeyed a direct order because it was driven by a liberal, Obama-loving Commie agenda.

Anyway, the UCMJ's position on infidelity isn't something new. Having the kind of blackmail leverage over a person that hiding this could cause would disqualify him from security clearances and sensitive positions. Not exactly rocket science, here.

That said, I'll point out I don't morally care that he was a swinger. The affair is another, separate matter. Even if he was a Mormon. If he and his wife were consenting participants in whatever they were doing then more power to them.

Bite me, faqs. Infidelity is abuse and I will mock the people who get bitten in the ass by it until the day I die.

Yeah, you just call people names all the time. That's totally different.

Bull****. I'd say pony up some examples but you can't and you won't.

It pains me to hear that I'm not intellectual enough for the guy who mansplains to women how their hymens work. That's devastating, really.

Yup. That is me with my kids at my HR certificate graduation wearing my MA graduation regalia from a few months earlier.

And thank you. <3
