I demonstrate zero indications of narcissism.

A 2012 book on power-hungry narcissists suggests that narcissists typically display most, and sometimes all, of the following traits:[7]

An obvious self-focus in interpersonal exchanges
Problems in sustaining satisfying relationships
A lack of psychological awareness (see insight in psychology and psychiatry, egosyntonic)
Difficulty with empathy
Problems distinguishing the self from others (see narcissism and boundaries)
Hypersensitivity to any insults or imagined insults (see criticism and narcissists, narcissistic rage and narcissistic injury)
Vulnerability to shame rather than guilt
Haughty body language
Flattery towards people who admire and affirm them (narcissistic supply)
Detesting those who do not admire them (narcissistic abuse)
Using other people without considering the cost of doing so
Pretending to be more important than they actually are
Bragging (subtly but persistently) and exaggerating their achievements
Claiming to be an "expert" at many things
Inability to view the world from the perspective of other people
Denial of remorse and gratitude

I have never understood this angle. Atheists are always accused of being proud, vain, and of exalting themselves above God.

But actually atheists do pretty much the opposite; they claim they are just animals, like otters, dolphins and amoebas, and that they will only live a few decades and then revert back to their constituent atoms. Poof. Gone.

It is hard to imagine a more humble ideology, compared to believers who claim that God made the entire universe just for them and that they will live for eternity and gain everlasting glory - or to crank it up to the level of Mormonism - will become omnipotent Gods and create their own universes where they will be worshiped day and night by infinite beings of their own making. Nothing vain about that.

I laugh myself silly when a general authority, a man who considers himself a god in embryo, mocks atheists for considering themselves better than believers. They should just print the word RAMEUMPTOM in huge letters on that podium.

If you haven't seen the polls, atheists are the most hated group of people in the United States. Makes them a pretty easy target, being a vast minority and all. Why do believers hate and fear them so much? I really don't get it, unless it's the terrifyingly unthinkable possibility that they might be right.

Actually this ideology you proffer proves MY point that atheist have their hearts set upon being the greatest of all intelligence. Which would be true if all are mere evolution scum.

Here's one atheist who is quite sure of three things:

1. On this earth, there are many people more intelligent than me. Some of them are religious believers - Christians, Jews, Muslims, Zoroastrians, Buddhists - largely depending on how their parents brought them up.

2. In the rest of the universe (which is very very very <continue for a few hundred pages> large), there are probably creatures so much more intelligent than me that I could no more comprehend their mental processes than a mouse could comprehend mine.

3. Nevertheless, given that my limited intelligence is all I have to think with, I will use it as directly and honestly as I can to decide what looks credible and what does not. Sorry Nightlion, I don't find you very convincing. Others more intelligent than me may be able to see something more in you than I do. Good luck with finding them!
