Is THIS the Morality 71% of Mormonism Believes In?
71% of Mormons revoted for Trump this time. Let that sink in.
To paraphrase an article I just skimmed which used "Evangelical Christians," which I substitute Mormons instead:
"One of the most confounding things for many people in the Trump era is how on earth a porn star banging, pussy grabbing, serial lying, charity stealing, student defrauding, non-church-going, faith mocking, unrepentant President could have won the support of the Mormons." The hypocrisy is stunning. And, I might add, is it because unconsciously they realize that if reincarnation has any viability, they have their own prophet Joseph Smith back among them working his vexing verbal magic among the people again, since the only real difference between the two is their hairdo, not their immoral values and lives?

For Mormons to still love Trump, despite the fact that Trump makes fun of Mormons and holds them in low regard, shows how accepting the Saints can be; they believe they are carrying out the will of their Authorities. The Authorities are concerned about the sanctity of Ensign Peak Investments.

Most church leaders almost certainly did not vote for Trump. The Deseret News published an editorial that was pretty strongly anti-Trump. Do you think a pro-Trump group of Brethren would have allowed that? Look to Mitt Romney's example if you want a sense of what the leaders of the LDS Church think of Trump. My guess is that Mitt is in harmony with the Brethren on this one.

The church leaders very rightly ought to be appalled at the lack of inspiration of 71% of their people then! What an indictment of their teachings.

So when the General Authorities carefully pray about their voting choices seeking inspiration from the Holy Spirit they are given the inspiration to vote for someone other than Trump. But when the majority of the members carefully pray about their voting choices while seeking inspiration they are inspired to vote for Trump.
It sounds like a house of confusion and a house divided against itself.

The members themselves preached a much louder and convincing sermon on the moral bankruptcy of their teachings they supposedly believe in, by voting this year, than anything their leaders might rhetorically employ to keep them from learning how to discern truth from error. Obviously both sides have aborted any kind of truth possession.

Indeed, Mormonism has sunk into a new low and the morality factor of the Church and its people has plummeted wherein soon it will be obvious to everyone just how much of a party-corrupt Church Mormonism has evolved into. It's become a joke. It's a laugh. But you know, the Church "is not a wealthy people" and so they don't have the funds to help Africans develop clean water systems. Church leaders look to money and power as their source of happiness and security while the members worship them practically on bended knee.
