consiglieri wrote:Hi everybody!

Just wanted to drop by and let you know I have started a new podcast a couple of months ago over at Mormon Discussion podcast.

Bill Reel has been kind enough to host my podcast, which is called, "Radio Free Mormon."

There are a fistful of podcasts up and running at this point. The Christmas Special went up yesterday.

Prior to that are some podcasts dealing with "The Great Church History Cover-Up," "The Reluctant Revelation," and "Hiding Church History."

"Make Way for Milk-Strippings" is set to come out in a couple of weeks.

Hope you enjoy these!

Very interested in any feedback you might have, pro or con.

Merry Christmas!

This is YOUR Podcast? I've been listening to it from the very first time it appeared on Bill's feed...I absolutely love it. So informative and impressive...you have a knack for cutting through the straw and getting right to the meat of an issue. I really enjoyed your most recent Christmas release...again a ton of information in an easy and informative format...you have such a great delivery and you make it easy to follow the logic of your presentation...can't' wait for the milk stripping's release

Bill's a good guy and I wish a lot more like him were trying to change the church from the inside.

Grats on your podcasts Consiglieri.

I manage the pawn shop. My boss owns 4 in southern Utah. You throw around a lot of criticism's without knowing much of what's really going on. Why not lighten up? Happy to answer any questions you might have which could have the ability to correct your false assumptions and baseless criticisms. Such as my being dishonest, such as my knowingly copying the word discussion off of this discussion board 's name or any other misnomers you might want to talk about

I personally find it harmful that you endorse an unbelieving member lying to not only his/her ecclesiastical leaders, but to his/her spouse, parents, and children.

Why not encourage people to be real and honest? Would you want your wife to live a life of deceit just to keep you happy?

What if your child came to you requesting their own exit from the religion that was unwittingly forced upon them. Would you encourage their own choice or attempt to convince them to live a lie, just to keep the peace in the family?

your hilarious.
- #1 who said he lied? that seems like an unsubstantiated assumption
- #2 Did I ever endorse someone lying? If you assume only from me posting his testimonial see #1
- #3 Have you ever looked into my work? I encourage honesty and transparency throughout.
- #4 Are you 12
- #5 I would and do encourage my children to be critical thinkers and honest to their inquiry while also teaching them that certain tensions in life are conducive to great growth.
- #6 Do you always make false assumptions and jump the gun?

Where? I own "hilarious"??

Ohhh my bad, did you mean that I am hilarious?

Cosair is purported to have told you, via an email or comment which you posted to your testimonial section, that as a "total unbeliever" he does not believe anything related to Mormonism, yet he maintains a current temple recommend.

You are aware of the questions asked of members who request to renew their temple recommends, right??

In case you aren't aware, for him to receive approval for temple recommend renewal, he must answer the questions in an exact way.

To give the correct answers to facilitate renewal, isn't it obvious that he must lie?

Please explain to me how a "total unbeliever" maintain a current temple recommend.

a total unbeliever whose bishop is nuanced would perhaps allow such. depends on how he would frame things.

So now you advocate the leadership lying in order to retain the member and his tithes.

Ok. Good to know.

Thanks so much for the kind words, Craig! I am glad you are enjoying it!

I never realized doing a podcast could be so time-consuming. I still can't believe how much time I have to spend editing the stuff that comes out of my mouth in order to give it that "forward momentum" feel I am striving for.

Thanks again!
