Coming back from my daughter's house today I was listening to KBYU radio in my truck and heard the following recording of a Devotional Forum at BYU on November 2016 given by Tad R. Callister, the Sunday School General President. I think it is worth the listen. Puts everything into a nutshell, in my opinion.

It's probably not worth listening to, but I will answer your title question. Man-made. Man made god therefore anything from god is man-made.

All you need do is refer to his statement about the fall being positive as taught in the Book of Mormon then consider the following:

...the book is a fabrication.
Which method did Joseph use? One, two, three, four, or five?

Does it matter? Although I would say 4 is probably unlikely.

It does not matter. The "fall" has been disproven and since the Book of Mormon teaches that there was a fall, the Book of Mormon is false.

Probably one and two.
It's also a bad argument. The critical counter is valid which states if the book lacks correspondence with independent reality then it doesn't matter how it was authored.

Not relevant.
Wow. Odds of 1 in 2 x 10^38 that evolution can't explain that sequence of endogenous retroviruses?! That is a very well-done video. Thanks for the reference, spotlight.
I took a look at McCallister's speech, it got pretty ridiculous pretty quickly. I feel sorry for the college students who have to sit through this. The violence done to their ability to be logical and rational must be overwhelming.

I have to say though, it's pretty entertaining to hear a leader of the Mormon church argue against reason number 5 by stating, in no uncertain terms, that there is no evidence Joseph Smith ever visited a library containing historical books, no evidence that he read any historical books or talked to people about said books, that clearly knowing the contents of 30 whole books was beyond his capacity (McCallister calls "30" a "staggering number"), and that there is NO WAY Joseph Smith was a creative genius, because he was "illiterate, ignorant, and incapable."
Wow. Such a ringing endorsement. I'm guessing if Joseph Smith were alive he would prefer that McCallister stop defending him so vigorously.

Oh, and also there were no 3x5 notes found. Therefore, QED, McCallister says Book of Mormon is true. Jeez. And he said this at a University. What an embarrassment.

Is it necessary to know the method of production to figure out if a 20 dollar bill is fake?
