Road Trip
Driving from the Seattle area to Boise tomorrow. If anyone in the Boise area (or between Seattle and Boise) is interested in grabbing a cup of Joe, an adult beverage, or just putting a face to a name, please PM me.

Re: Road Trip
Whenever I get discouraged, it always helps to get out and meet people. So, I roll in to Nampa Idaho, grab me a motel room, and look for a brewery. I find a place called the Crescent Brewery. It turns out to be in a run down building under an overpass. And it's karaoke night.
As I sip my beer, I notice that all the folks in the bar seem to know each other. It seems like a nice group of folks who know each other (and their singing voices) well. The gal behind the bar slides me a slip of paper to sign up for a song and A.I. politely decline. But then I notice everyone there is singing. And it occurs to me it might be rude to not pony up with a song. So I sing one too. (Never done karaoke before.) Everyone is nice, and suddenly I have a bunch of new friends. We sing and talk, hanging out until long after last call.
I'll likely never see them again. But I had one nice evening with m fellow humans. And I feel lucky for it.
