Brian Hauglids Book on Kirtland Egyptian Papers

I just got it. Lots of good photos (FINALLY!!!!!!!!)....... I see problems already. No one has a unified way of identifying which manuscript is which.....sigh..... Hauglid still seems to me to be haunted by the ghost of Nibley however. I really NEEDED this source for my own book, and am glad to have it. Anyone else read it? If so, what are your thoughts? It's strengths? Weaknesses? Come on peoples! Talk ta me!
I also notice that they ignore H. Michael Marquardt steadily and consistently. I wonder why?

I enjoy your comments, Philo. Unfortunately I only have time to dip my toes in the waters of the Joseph Smith Papyri. Hopefully, I'll be able to retire sometime before I become senile (but I'm not too optimistic) and really study some of this stuff. Until then, I appreciate you giving the highlights; yours is a thankless, and financially unrewarding, but totally cool profession.

My good pleasure! In a way, I wish I were blogging instead of writing a book. I could get so much more information out there already instead of waiting to get it all in print.....sigh. I may give up the book and just throw it out there on a new blog dedicated to.......uh.......... well, I will think about it.
